ACS-LCS was originally an asbestos consultancy (ACS) but they expanded their service to cover legionella risk assessment (LCS) and had simply bolted the new letters on the end of their old name. Just a few years later, they ran into the same problem when they began developing a world-class laboratory service for the identification of all kinds of hazardous microscopic materials.
It was a confusing name which was also difficult to recall for customers so they needed our help to develop a strong brand strategy and a brand name which would tie their two main divisions together – the consultancy and the lab.
Microscopic things can have an enormous impact on businesses. Because, when it comes to Asbestos and Legionella, an inaccurate test really could become a matter of life or death. iota are a highly specialised consultancy and laboratory, but their product is not a test, it is peace of mind.
