Univ8 is a biomedical company based at Queen’s University, coming from an internationally well-regarded research group.
They have designed a ‘research use only’test kit and associated analysis software for cancer patients with leukaemia / lymphomas. These kits are aimed at laboratories in the health services and specialised clinical research centres across Europe, to enable them to test cancer patients for genetic biomarkers of disease, which can help with their diagnosis, assess prognosis and predict response to therapies.
Univ8 came to us when a science paper for their first product, the EuroClonality-NDC assay, was about to be released. This would be the main step towards commercialisation, and the team recognised that they needed a professional Brand Visual Identity to make the most of the opportunity.

We developed bespoke packaging designs for the Univ8 tests. They are delivered to clinics as tiny 0.5ml screw-cap micro-tubes. Each tube is extremely valuable, and the boxes are dispatched packed in medical-grade dry ice and then stored at -20 degrees.
Our box insert holds the tubes steady at two locations and displays up to 6 vials for each order.
