We worked with the Queen’s University Innovation Programmes team to create a persuasive new brand identity to capture potential entrepreneurs’ imaginations within the university’s Research school.
Queen’s is the lead partner of the EntreUnity Project, which is “a network of aspiring entrepreneurial universities that share a passion and a responsibility to tackle global food security, ageing populations and climate change by educating and training the next generation of agri-food, health and green-tech students in entrepreneurship and leadership”. This is, in turn, part of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology’s HEI Initiative, which aims to build innovation and entrepreneurship within higher education institutions.
The team came to us wanting to build a new brand which would launch as a Queen’s Project before scaling, and serve as an example to other University partners. We created the Brand Name, Visual Identity, and Website.
We were uniquely placed to deliver this brand after having developed the brands for numerous successful spinout companies over the years (see our projects for Univ8 Genomics, Examen, and Bia Analytical). We are also experts at providing design support to Technology Transfer Offices.
The name ‘we invent’ came from our development of the brand theme: “Together, we can bring your invention to life”.

Research academics can often see the potential for commercialising their invention as protectable IP, but the process of doing it can feel out of step with their perceived skills. With the support of the Queen’s Univeristy Commercialisation team and a vibrant community of peers, we invent makes the journey smooth. Together, they can harness all the collective knowledge, experience and resources to maximise the chances of success.
